Calgary Housing Company (CHC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Calgary. As a Business Analyst, you will ensure that business requirements for solutions and other CHC related services are clearly understood and accurately translated into technical specifications. You will analyze business problems and continuous improvement opportunities and investigate and recommend technology solutions to business problems. Primary duties include:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operational support activities including troubleshooting, modifying, maintaining, enhancing, and monitoring systems.
- Provide the analysis and expertise used to make informed decisions around solutions, implementations, and improvements.
- Support solution design, development, implementation and sustainment.
- Provide recommendations for improvements and documentation to facilitate how the improvements are implemented, traced and measured.
- Complete quality assurance measures to ensure that all data, solutions, implementations and recommendations are thoroughly researched to achieve the highest standard results.
- Take a lead role in project management to ensure goals are met within the designated timeframe and within budget.
- A completed diploma in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related area and at least 5 years of experience in business reporting, quality assurance, systems development or business re-engineering, OR;
- A degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related area and at least 4 years of experience in business reporting, quality assurance, systems development or business re-engineering.
- Certification in Project Management, Master Data Management (MDM) or Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and workflow design will be considered an asset.
- Experience with Yardi, BlueWorks or other process and information modeling tools, data reporting and querying tools, and Business Rules Management System (BRMS) will also be considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
