Be a part of an exciting transformational journey as a Senior Technical Program Manager at TELUS. As a member of the SAP & Enterprise Shared Services team, you will play a crucial role in modernizing our infrastructure, leveraging strategic relationships with SAP and Google to accelerate value, quality, and velocity for our highly innovative TELUS business stakeholder teams. With a cloud-first, agile, and digital mindset, we are embarking on a modernization program that includes migrating to SAP (RISE) S/4HANA.
You will be working with an experienced team of SAP professionals in a collaborative and dynamic environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the quality and reliability of the SAP ERP system.
The position leverages our workstyles program which allows for a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work remotely based on alignment and agreement with your manager and alignment to TELUS policies.
What you’ll do
- Lead the technical program management of our SAP S/4HANA modernization program, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and business stakeholders, to define technical solutions and project requirements
- Utilize your expertise in SAP S/4HANA to drive architectural decisions, system integration, and data migration strategies
- Leverage your cloud expertise to define and lead the implementation of cloud solutions and infrastructure for SAP S/4HANA
- Drive the adoption of cloud operating models, ensuring efficient and scalable operations for our SAP landscape
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SAP technologies, including SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP RISE, and provide recommendations for their implementation
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to evaluate and select appropriate technologies and solutions for SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Define and implement project governance and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team
Qualifications
What you bring
- 15+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on SAP projects and infrastructure modernization
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, including architecture, system integration, and data migration
- Experience with SAP FI, MM, SD, and PS modules
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and SaaS methodologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services
- Familiarity with cloud operating models and best practices, including scalability, elasticity, and cost optimization
- Familiarity with SAP RISE and its implications for SAP S/4HANA projects
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration or SAP Analytics Cloud
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs within scope, budget, and timeline, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and a commitment to deliver high-quality solutions
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to navigate through ambiguity and drive results
- Familiarity with Project management and reporting tools
- Understanding of project management methodologies, QA / risk management methodologies, and change management methodologies at large companies
- Have a customer focus and continuous learning mindset with a desire to stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Great-to-haves
- Certification in SAP S/4HANA and project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum)
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and their integration with SAP
- Experience with Signavio, Syniti, BTP
